Food & Beverages

WILL there BE food available?

Yes a wide selection of food and drinks will be available on the grounds and provided by our fantastic food and beverage vendors.

Where WILL THE food vendors BE LOCATED ?

Food will be located throughout the show grounds for your convienience.

WILL alcoholic beverages allowed?

Alcoholic beverages are prohibited on the grounds at all time and cannot be brought on or to airport grounds. No alcohol will be served at the Air Festival.

Parking & Admission

What time does the festival start and end?

The gates open at 7:30 a.m., the festival starts at 8:00 a.m. and runs until 5:00 p.m.; the gates close at 6:00 p.m. both days of the Festival.

Where is general admission parking located?

Please look for the parking area signs when your are approaching the Guntersville Municipal Airport Area. Click here for directions.

Is there handicap parking?

Yes. Please display your state authorized handicap placard while approaching the airport for access to the handicap parking area. Signage and security personnel will direct you to the designated parking area. Transportation will be provided to assist you in getting to the Festival Grounds.

Is there motorcycle parking available?

Yes. Motorcycles should park designated parking areas.

Is there a charge for parking?

Some parking may have a small charge. Some parking areas will be staffed with local non-profit orgranzations.

Is traffic and parking going to be a problem?

This is planned to be a very large event. Highway 431 will experience a large amount of traffic. We are expecting attendance to be 5000+ so please car pool and arrive as early as possible. The gates open at 7:30 a.m. so come early.

Can we sit in our cars in the parking lot and watch the show?

No. No. All spectators MUST go through the festival admissions gates. Once you have gone through admission gate you can go back to your car as frequenctly as you would like. Remember to always display your wrist band. Tailgating is the parking lot is prohibited.

Can I leave the grounds and be re-admitted from the parking area?

YES! Once you have a general admission wrist band from a Gate Agent as you leave the Air Festival. It will be required for readmission

Are there any certain times I cannot leave Air Festival ?

No, gates open at 7:30 a.m. and close at 6:00 p.m. - you may plan to arrive and leave at any time during that time frame. Due to the high volume of traffic and logistics of the traffic flow we do not recommend that you plan to leave the grounds and re-enter unless necessary.

What if I leave during performances?

Vehicles leaving during performances may be redirected through a different exit. We may still have vehicles entering while you are trying to leave. We do not have provisions for two way traffic in most cases. If you want to go back to your car in off site parking you may.

Seating & General Info

Will there be a general public seating area?

Yes. A large general area seating area on the flight line with a clear view is available. However space is limited, so we encourage you to arrive early.

Does the public seating area provide chairs?

No. Chairs are not provided, you are encouraged to bring your own chairs and blankets. The general admission seating area is both a grassy and a hard surface area. Seating is first come first reserved so we encourage you to arrive early and reserve your spot.

Where can we sit for the show?

You can sit in designated areas; also in the parking lot and grassy areas. Volunteers will be available if you have any questions about appropriate seating areas.

Can I sit on the airport ramp?

Yes. Only in unrestricted areas. The FAA and the Airport Authority have strict guidelines and regulations which must be followed by EVERYONE.

Where are the bathrooms?

Portable toilets will be available on the Festival grounds.

Can we bring dogs? Bicycles?

No pets, bicycles, skateboards, hoverboards, are allowed.

What else is not allowed?

Firearms, skateboards, in-line skates, roller skates. footballs, baseballs, frisbees, or anything that can be thrown. No kites or coolers.

Can we wander out by the parked planes?

Yes, before the Air Festival you can view the planes closest to the runway (behind the announcer's stand). You can view the planes located in desigated areas at any time.

Where can we smoke?

There is smoking in desigated areas only. There is no smoking in the ramp area. Fuel and Oil are common throughout the Festival Grounds and we don't want to cause a fire, so please respect the No Smoking Signs and only smoke in desigated areas.

Where is there a first aid station?

First Aid is located near the Main Stage.

Where do we sign up for Young Eagles free airplane rides for children?

The Young Eagles table is located at Air Festival exhibit area. Rides will NOT be held the day of the Air Festival but will be scheduled with EAA Chapter 683.

Where are the helicopter rides this year?

Flights will be conducted from 08:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Where are the exhibitors?

Exhibitors will be located throughout the Festival grounds.

Is there an ATM available?

Yes. There will be a ATM available on the Festival Grounds.


Can I purchase tickets in advance of the Air Festival ?

General admission - This event is currently planned to be a FREE EVENT. Wristbands will be required at all times.

What if it rains during the Air Festival ?

Static display and vendors will be open.
